thanks, I do not think this is the case but when we finally speak about this I'll dig a bit deeper. It wasn't a spur of the moment decision, we're all on good terms, routinely go out together after work (me, my girlfriend, her boss, coworkers, etc.). My read on it was it was fine, and I gave ample notice, and was respectful of the workplaces needs and my partners needs, so I thought.
