I agree with your POV here but the mere thought of an Open relationship in his mind should be the death knell of your relationship – especially with all the talk these days about it. He may have just wanted to share his perspective. People have drives and being attracted to others is part of that. Nothing weird there. I suggest you both try to put this behind you and try not to let it sink your relationship.
