My wife even jokes about this kind of thing too but my experience with massages has just been pain. My body doesn't react well to them, for whatever reason.
That is bizarre. My first thought was his breakdown and anxiety made him embarrassed, but the timing of it is all weird. I wonder if he felt like he needed you right thin because of his anxiety and breakdown and felt like by you yelling your story it took the attention away from him? Just speculating, because it is so odd.
Don’t beat yourself up. Being able to be vulnerable with someone is how you learn if they are worthy of your love or not. This guy is clearly not. It’s better to have learned this now than later.
This. Talk to him at a time when he's not angry and ask him to get serious anger management help. If he won't do it, i think you should leave. This is no way to sow d your life.
This might not actually help your situation, but I'd go for malicious compliance: if you're “allowed to bring anyone home except for an atheist”, try bringing home a 48 year-old lesbian with a shaved head and face tattoos, and throw in a few other qualities that your dad might hate just for the fun of it. Just make sure she's not an atheist first.
Fuck that bitch
I'd say it's pretty normal.

Then I obviously got it wrong. Hopefully he’ll find the strength to walk away.

She'll make your boyfriend look great.
