2. Right, but why do you think that? Is she telling him not to go out with you? If so, could there be some reason she doesn’t like him hanging out with you? 4. You are being naive. I would say ditch this friendship in general. You really can’t be friends with someone you’re in love with. Plus, if he was such an amazing friend, it’s very very weird that you haven’t met his wife although you’ve been friends for years. That is extremely strange and leads me to believe he has feeling for you.

   But even if he does love/like you, you really don’t want a man who is willing to hide his wife for some friendship.
