It’s not that at all. Due to the way she was raised (I.e. wrapped in cotton wool) there is so much she is really quite naive or innocent about. She’s told me so many times how she would be helpless without me. Until I found out and called her out in it she didn’t even trim her own nails or know how but let her mother do it for her. She doesn’t know how to put petrol in her car or cook anything – either I or her mother cook all her meals. She’s never drank a drop of alcohol or set foot in a pub or club, and thinks that no man would ever dream of hurting her or taking advantage with her because those sorts of people are incredibly rare (all her own words).
These are just a few things – but for better or worse she really has depended on me to ‘look after her’ for much of our relationship and has said as much herself. I know it’s not my responsibility if we break up, but you understand my concern given how childlike she is in many respects
