It is so lonely! And I'm married already. It took a couple years if marriage for the behavior to change and it is, like you say, just getting worse & worse as time goes by. I'm a little older than you so it makes me feel like I've run out of time honestly. Main good thing is no kids but I feel trapped because he's the main bread winner and I have some anxiety/health problems I'm dealing with so leaving seems so scary.
I knew this asshole who broke up with his girlfriend of 4 years to sleep with a coworker (they had sex before the breakup but he was super into the coworker and wanted it to work with her). He was definitely more in love with the coworker than he was with the ex. The coworker not so much and the novelty wore off right away. She quit just to get away from him and he crawled back to the ex because he literally had no options. If she only saw how he was with her at the job she would not have taken him back. I have no idea how he spun it but he had to have lied about what happened. They ended up getting married and everytime I see her face on socal media I think of how stupid she looks and wonder if he tried to cheat at his new job. Don't be the boomerang ex.
