  1. Good for you- but don’t hold people to the same standard as yourself. Everyone has different views and as for “body count”- who cares???? What does that matter in the long run as long as your partner knows you chose them. I probably have 2-3x the “bodies” my partner does and he could care less, because I chose HIM. Do yourself a favor a mature a little bit, it’ll help you in the long run.

  2. There is no different light to shine.

There will never be enough information for anyone on reddit to know what’s happening, but from what you describe she’s left the relationship already.

So find yourself a lawyer, file for divorce.

Be prepared to separate your finances asap, and possibly to move out.

And once the divorce is finalised, find yourself someone who has the same relationship goals as you.

  3. Try to figure out what he considers “sexy”. Then put that on and take a serious of pics for him. Then whenever he asks you to dress “sexy” tell him to refer to those photos since you're a busy human being and not just a sex mannequin.

  4. I see this argument all the time about age and weight being different. While they are different, I think it's overstated how different.

There's a reason that leaving your wife for a younger woman is a stereotype. There's a reason that we adopt skin care routines in our teens and twenties (and it's not just about nice skin). There's a reason that minor cosmetic procedures like fillers and botox are growing in popularity, even among very young people who barely have lines on their faces. Not to mention that I know very few women who let their hair go gray before their sixties, but that's just anecdotal.

There is a palpable fear of looking old and a lot of judgment about it. What's more, there's a concerted effort well beyond good health in preventing and mitigating it – an effort that rivals the weight loss industry.

So, I don't think it necessarily follows that superficiality limits itself to weight. Not at all, really. And if one really values effort into improving appearance, that's likely going to apply to age, clothes, makeup, shaving, etc. “Why don't you wear makeup out anymore? It's like you've given up. Don't you care about looking attractive to me?”
