2. All of your examples are all reasonable and clearly NOT a whole weekend every month of the year.

   And you lived primarily somewhere else. You can't say that without it being really some time at that place. You may not think of it as free time or whatever, but it is time away. So they are not a fulltime, committed couple. They are dating essentially. For two years, sure, but they are not mixing their lives.

   She is really a single person dating another single person with a child. I think he latched onto something about her tolerating his child. They are separate. And so I completely agree now that she shouldn't compromise on this at all. Single people who are dating, even for two years, that haven't mixed their lives but clearly have single lives should not be dictated about what to do with every day of their time.

   She has already compromised too much and he thinks he has some control over her life because they have been dating for two years.

   I think she shouldn't compromise because she hasn't committed to him and certainly that means not all her time. I think a real girlfriend can really just go places if she wants. She lives somewhere ELSE. Why would he think they are joined at the hip?

   So maybe expectations need to be reset. He seems to be pushing this relationship along and she should decide if she wants to go there when he is acting like they are already there.
