If an older person manipulates a young, naive and inexperienced person into a relationship or sexual activity, I don’t think it should matter all that much whether the person being manipulated is technically over the age of 18. The decision making part of the brain doesn’t mature until around age 25! It would obviously be a lot worse if they were a minor, but to say the same tactics of manipulation used on someone so close to being a minor (in comparison to their ‘partner’) fall into a different category because someone is a few months or years above the age of 18 is just protecting abusers imo.
TBH no one needs any “context” on this. People break up for valid reasons and those reasons almost always make it impossible for them to ever be real and true friends. Meaning you never should have agreed to this trip in the first place. But at least now you know this guy isn't capable of being your friend either. So now you can put this in the rearview mirror, never speak to him again and get on with the rest of your life.

I have my old dog's fur in a memento display as well and her old collar somewhere. I've also heard that people have experimented with knitting with their pet's hair, esp if they're into spinning their own yarn so you'd add the fiber in with sheep wool.
Idk I feel people are overreacting to the pet fur memento thing. You love your pets, you want a keepsake to still have after they've departed this mortal coil.
