Couldn’t you just hang out in your bedroom? Or avoid being in the house (make a lot of plans with friends). Did you wear a mask indoors? Did you cook your own food and do your own laundry? I think there’s definitely ways you could’ve stopped yourself from getting sick.

My family lives in Michigan and I know quite a few people from our country there but I don't really personally know any moroccans here in Boston. All my friends here are from uni and work and only speak english so she isn't really able to socialize with them.
I did try to convince her to go to any therapist but she refused telling me she's ok and doesnt need one.
I also tried to convince her to attend some classes to learn english but she doesn't want to go to any unknown place like that unless I'm with her and I unfortunately can't come since I'm busy with work.
You maybe need to be less intense, but also probably accept you’re that way (it’s not wrong) and just be a little more patient while finding someone who likes it/understands it.
This is the way. I've had to do this with a friend. Using the words, “I'm so sorry you're going through it right now, but unfortunately I don't have the capacity to handle much right now. I hope you're able to figure it out”. It might take a few times saying it, she might get upset, but she'll get over it. Especially if you share a friend group.
