Hey man we've all been there before. Just know you're not alone this is something everyones had to go through. Sorry to be the barer of bad news but breaks are what cowards tell people when they want to break up but are too scared to actually do it. They dangle that bit of hope out there to lessen the reaction so they don't have to deal with it in the moment but in reality they know it's over. Best case scenario this was a one night stand. Worst case (and I'd say likely the more probable one) is she was already talking to this guy before you to broke up. But you're doing everything right so far it's just going to take a bit of time to heal. Go out with friends more, build yourself up, and enjoy life.
And I don't want to sound patronizing but you're still really young dude. You've got TONS of time ahead of you. And in that time you are going to meet so many people. One's that are smarter, funnier, better looking, and all around just better people than your ex.
