The usual therapy, marriage counselling, so on, and so on might be on the cards, but I'd say it's very likely (to short of a dead cert) that your Wife is already having an affair. Emotional affair and/or sexting, potentially physical affair, whatever it is the line has been crossed. The giveaway is that she has already done all the mental gymnastics to justify her affair. You're the villain in her head: 'You've cheated. She doesn't owe you fidelity'.
Not to pile on, but the chances are fairly good that the upturn in your sex life is down to her pursuit of/interactions with her Ex.
How do you get her to stop asking about it? Either break up with her so she can find someone willing to commit or just ask her to marry you. It’s really not that hot.
Your temper escalated things, it didn't calm them down.
