I do wonder if there’s like a 2% chance she’s planning a surprise party for you or the guys brother is a woodworker and she’s getting something special custom made etc. Is there any room in the scenario for a secret that is good and innocent?
I would have a discussion with her that it made you a little uncomfortable and you’d prefer if it didn’t happen again, and you’re happy to work together to find a better solution if she gets stranded again (can you meet her halfway to pick her up, pay half a cab fare, stay at a family or trusted friends place).
For reference I have crashed with guy friends when I’ve been stranded, and they’ve crashed with me. Literally NEVER had anything romantic happen, not even close. So don’t believe all the delusional/insecure people here saying men and women can’t ever be fully platonic friends. In all those times (at least a dozen times over the years) it’s purely logistical, couldn’t get home, didn’t have the money or too drunk. Also worth noting it’s generally safer (for women especially) to stay with friends instead of navigating home alone drunk on public transport.
