Are you conventionally attractive? Just because you’re dipping your toe into a new social circle or scene it doesn’t take away from the fact that the majority of people find certain features and body types attractive. The aesthetic or style you have might not be what is holding you back, these men still need to find you physically attractive. I would also suggest that you don’t lead with comments like “I’m disgusted by my own social sphere”. It implies an us and them mentality and no one likes that. Going into these situations thinking that men find you intimidating is also not a great idea. I’m my experience most of the women who think that men are intimidated by them are actually just annoying and insufferable. Be nice, be open and be fun. Think back to making friends as a child and eventually you’ll develop real friendships and maybe a romantic relationship.
