Look buddy, if you see her as a long term prospect and think she’s someone that you’d possibly even marry some day, you need to tell her. It will come out at some point and she will more likely than not break up with you at that point. The probability of her breaking up with you if she finds out later is probably higher than if you just told her now.
The fact that you feel you have to hide this and are seemingly having some feeling of guilt about not telling her (considering you’re trying to rationalize not telling her) should tell you all you need to know.
