Take photos of everything, make sure you have insurance. Talk to a lawyer prior and maybe remove the valuable items while she’s gone and before giving her the news. She’s using her mental illness to guilt trip you so be ready. Make sure you are prepared emotionally and financially. When you tell her you already know what to expect so you have to be concrete in your decision. Don’t give in.

But what I don’t understand is why you won’t just be honest in therapy? That’s the whole point of it. If you’re not going to be honest and aren’t interested in trying to work on the marriage then don’t waste the time or money or lead her on.
Oddly, I’ve been in her place. Simply, she’s not ready for you. She has baggage to work through and doesn’t want to hurt you further with her shite. You are a nice person, conversely I think it’s her way of protecting you.
