OP, stop being his backstop for every time a new relationship fails. This guy is way too old to be flitting around like this and if he were truly into you he wouldn't keep running off and marrying other people. You ARE “the problem” if you're even considering taking anything he says seriously.
I’m literally having the same problem with the guy I’m seeing rn. He kept telling me “maybe tonight” and “I’ll let you know” and then I would be sitting by my phone all night and only hear from him like two days later, with some bullshit excuse about being busy. I finally told him I was done waiting for him and to take care, his reaction was basically “Oh ok if that’s what you want, see ya”. That’s how much he didn’t care.
Being busy is a legit excuse to miss out on plans once in a while but when that person is consistently putting you aside and neglecting the relationship because they’re “busy”, that excuse becomes bogus. Everyone is busy. I’m busy, my coworkers are busy, the bus driver this morning was busy, hell even kids are busy these days. Tell him nicely that you value your own time and would rather be with someone who values it as well.
I’m sorry you have to go through that btw. I know all too well the feeling of being that pretty thing on the side that he’ll pay attention to when he feels like it. Don’t be that girl! You’re better than this, find a guy who’ll actually want to make time for you in his busy schedule. This one just doesn’t want to.
Yeah how this is getting glossed over is baffling. She's destroying his things. That's abuse. Whenever it's a man who punches a wall the comments are correctly telling the person to run because it's only a matter of time before he's punching her. Same applies here. She's a monster and he needs out

A reminder: “No.” is a complete sentence.
