I really hate that everyone thinks that because of my age I'm easy to manipulate. Do you think I wouldn't realize their intentions? I know that 2 years and 6 months is a lot but in the time that I have known him I know that he is a good person (even though he is respectful, he is more immature than me) but hey
I too have struggled with being able to assure my partner, and what's helped me is to be very aware of actions I know upset my partner, preventing them as much as possible, but also holding yourself accountable when you do make the same mistake.
I've come to realize not every problem someone vents about requires a solution. I'm also solution-oriented so I always jump towards trying to make a scenario better, but half the time my partner doesn't need that from me lol. It may help ro ask what she's looking for in the conversation (ie, a safe place to rant, advice, etc), that way you can respond in a way she wants and needs, rather than your first instinct!
But as far as her feeling needy, just double down on the fact that you genuinely want to be there for her and remind you don't mind lending an ear 🙂 would you say she's also an overhinker?
