I do not know if that was her only reason to lie about her major.
I think taking some time for yourself to cool down is a very healthy and mature thing to do. However, I also think you both need to have a calm sit down, where when she’s not hysterical, she can calmly explain her whole thought process and why she did what she did. (Do not interrupt her during this time. Just breathe and quietly listen.)
After that, you can (calmly) ask your questions. And then you can decide if you want to remain in a relationship with her. And if you don’t, then you can let her know that.
Again, while I understand you’re hurt, there’s no need for rudeness/disrespect or name calling from either of you. So that’s why I keep making it a point for you to remain calm. Remaining calm helps both parties think clearer and makes it a slightly more comfortable environment to open up and talk about really difficult/vulnerable things.
