So, to cut a long story short, my girlfriend has been showing a lot of insecure traits lately. The most recent one would be that just the other day she started asking “am I the hottest girl you’ve ever dated” (she has stalked most of my exes social media profiles and feels that at least one of my exes is hotter than her).
Now, naturally I replied that she is, but she kept dismissing this response and getting more and more frustrated to the point that I had to explain that “fine, on a purely surface level objective perspective, maybe (ex who was a model) could be considered ‘hotter’ but I chose not to be with her and I am with you, it’s really not relevant”
Aaaand boom I’m the asshole. She now keeps suggesting “I just want to be with someone who hasn’t been with anyone hotter” “i just want to be the hottest girlfriend my boyfriend has had”.
Am I a dick here or is she just being insecure? She literally backed me into a corner and forced me to say what I said,l she’s firmly of the opinion that if you love someone there’s nobody hotter. I think that’s just Hollywood BS, there’s always someone hotter, there’s just more than hotness that factors into love etc.
