My Ex (32M) messaged myself (29F) and now my boyfriend (32M) of 7 years wants to break up with me

My boyfriend (32M) and I (29F) have been together to get 7 years. He' s i9000 always had an insecurity about my ex (32M) since my ex and I had been together for 6 years and he lives 5 minutes from the parent' s house.

My ex called me on private around 5 years ago when my present boyfriend was next to myself, and I answered the phone. Whenever my ex told me who he was, I was about to hang up, but my sweetheart told me to stay on the line and speak with him. Probably because he wanted to hear how we interacted. I asked my ex girlfriend or boyfriend what he wanted and he said he just desired to know how I was. I said fine, and to please not call me again.

My boyfriend was really upset with me because he thinks I made myself " accessible" to him still after we broke up. I needed to make sure it would never happen again so I changed the number.

I never heard from my ex again until 3 days back when he messaged me personally on Facebook messenger asking, " Just curious, exactly why the unusual unblock all of the sudden? ". My heart sank because I knew our boyfriend would be very disappointed about this and it wouldn' to feel right to keep this from him. I immediately blocked him on messenger, then went to my Facebook application to double check my obstructed contacts. He wasn' capital t listed there. I visited block him but it gave me an error message saying We are unable to block someone that I had unblocked less than 48 hrs ago. This was strange because I did not unblock him!

I asked my boyfriend if he had logged directly into on my Facebook, thinking maybe he was snooping around, but he stated no . Then I told him about the message I obtained from my ex. He lost it. He asked why I unblocked him. If I still wanted some thing with him. If I have been speaking to him this entire time. Obviously I hadn' t. He does not think that I did not unblock him and honestly I don' t blame him mainly because how can this happen on its own? Now my boyfriend feels he cannot trust me and he is considering breaking up.

Only today I was in a position to block my ex following the 48 hours had exceeded.

Can anyone help explain this particular? Has this happened to anyone before? I really wish to prove to my boyfriend that will I' m not making this up but I don' t know how.
