Like the title says, my best friend just told me he is last minute going to my dream festival with my ex-fiancé with the ticket that was originally bought for me. My ex and I have only been separated for 4 months. The two became friends right at the end of the relationship, but I thought it was surface level and not a big deal. Now, I find out that they are very good friends, and my best friend “is torn between us because he loves us both.” My best friend knows how my ex treated me badly and how he abused me, yet he still wants to be his close friend. I am baffled. I have been jealous, angry and in tears. I hardly know what to think. I feel betrayed and disrespected. I am wondering if they are hooking up.
To make it worse, I am taking my best friend to a week long vacation with me in a month (I get a great deal due to being staff) but now, I don’t know how to feel about it.
Should I continue being his friend or create space? Should I cancel my week long vacation with my best friend and take someone else?
