Was I (27M) right to be mad that my gf’s (25F) mom introduced the girl as “single” to a loved ones friend?

Over the vacations my girlfriend was out shopping with her mother and sister. They happened to run into some old friends from their middle school and their family' s and my gf' s mother introduced her as " this is my daughter therefore and so, she' s single". I just heard about it yesterday evening when her brother facetimed her.

We' ve already been going out for 2. 5 years, I' ve met the girl mom many times, drive several hours to go see her and the family. Never heard once she or the remaining family don' t with this problem in any way or have issues with me personally. To some extent I don' t care what my SO' s parents think or say but honestly I think it' s rude plus disrespectful what she did. Like am I just irrelevant for the last 3 years in your daughter' s life? When I noticed that I was/am pretty raise red flags to and hurt by it.
