Guy, plans change. Pregnancy is fucking hard. Emotionally, physically, mentally. Everything you thought you knew is turned upside down. Your body isn't your own anymore. You have to share it with a tiny human and a full grown human who both demand 100% of you. Motherhood can make you feel trapped and alone. It's not something you even know will happen until it does, and it's absolutely her decision to add or not add more needy humams into her life. You can plan to be a mother your entire life and then when you actually go through it, it's not anything like you expected.
I love my children, but am apathetic towards other kids. My kids are 18 and 21. I willingly help others with kids that need help if they ask and if a kid is in need, I'll help, but I don't volunteer. It's perfectly normal to not worship motherhood or children.
