If I were your nanny-babysitter and I didn’t have romantic feelings toward my employer (your husband), I would feel incredibly uncomfortable with how he is butting into my life and crossing professional boundaries.
Travelling 1-2 hours to a hospital to visit me? No employer does that for an employee. A phone call or email to check in is professional.
Calling family and friends of employee to ask about them? No, that’s also unprofessional. You communicate only with your employee as an employer. You don’t constantly call their family and friends to ask questions. This is considered harassment and crossing professional boundaries.
