So I read your update. I think you also need to realize something about this “wait a year no contact” rule. She wants to be away from you. Anything to get you to leave her alone. She already knows that reasoning with you might make you fight with her and she’s tired. You are the abuser and no amount of work can undo the past. So in a year when she has processed the relationship and grieved and gotten angry etc she will have her self esteem back. Unfortunately in a year she will either not answer (maybe even block you) or she’ll tell you to rightfully fuck off. You doing the work should be for you and future relationships and family ties. This girl is the catalyst for your self realization. But that’s it. You shouldn’t ever contact her ever again. If she calls you then cool but you lost the privilege to talk to her.
