Unless you have another reason to thinks so, it's not a GIVEN that that's where she's coming from. YOUR anxiety about what her statement means is not EVIDENCE that you have the right take on this. You need to do more work to understand where she's coming from. It totally makes sense that your strong emotions shut down your processing a little, that's a big emotional burrito to process! But if you want to stay with her, reassure your heart yourself and go back to the tabel for the scary intimate discussions.
