This is really the best advice. She can set her profiles to private where only ppl she manually approves can view. But either way, she can’t control someone else wasting precious time following her accounts to gawk at them and play monkey see monkey do games. She CAN control her own responses to and about it. Ignoring does work well. It won’t stop the gawking but it will make her boring enough to discourage the frequency. When hubbys friends go to give her the scoop on what ex is copying next, she can (and imo should) let them know while she appreciates they are trying to be informative, she’s tired of this woman renting space in her mind. Go onto saying since she has no control over the exes copycatting, but it does not harm her life, she has no further interest in hearing about anymore of these incidents. Ask them only to share things that may actually impact her life.
Most women keep their married name if they have children. If your current boyfriend has an issue with this, then maybe he should be your ex-boyfriend. Anyone who gets this hung up over a name you share with your kid isn't mature enough to get married. What's next? Is your son going to be required to change his name as well?
