I do agree. However since I have simply been unable to defend and stand up for him to my parents in most our time together, unfortunately, he does want to see me do that now that he needs it most. How can I refuse? I have failed him many times in this regard when he has always stood up for me.
I have mentioned changing jobs, helping him with that, but he doesn't think that this search should substitute for the conversation with my parents about their acts.
