Sorry you’re going through this. You’re allowed to feel how you do! Don’t let anyone make you feel selfish for caring about your well-being and mental/emotional health. After a year, clearly you care for him and moreso than he seems to care for you.
Of course this hurts, he’s basically soft abandoning by not saying I’m leaving but instead saying he’s moving back to his country.
