I agree. I think, OP’s girlfriend needs to do some more therapy. I don’t think she’s ready to date yet. Having an argument is understandable, but breaking up a 5 year relationship over this is extreme. Which means that her trust issues are from relationships that are older than five years. So, does it mean that she didn’t really work on those issues? Wasn’t being in a trustful relationship for five years enough?
