As a guy theres no easy way you can really apporoch it without it affecting him, if its already annoying him all you can do is either keep lieing to him about feeling good when it doesnt or be honest it will hurt him a bit but then you can both focus on making it better, have a proper serious talk with him about it with him and see where you go. Thats just my opinion
