Our friend groups are comprised of vastly different people who socialize in very different ways – I do concerts/festivals with friends and he does board game parties sort of different.
I do believe the social aspect is a sensitive topic for him since he’s had difficulties reading and interacting with people generally. But perhaps his confidence is due to that his friends are similar? It is a big deal to me, so it may not work long term. I will try another conversation and see what comes of it.
