Guess it helps that I have peasant tastebuds haha. Can’t stand seafood and I’ll take a decent cheeseburger over the fanciest steak 10/10 times. But even for my favorite foods I’m not interested in spending excessively. I can’t get beyond the value proposition since it’s a transitory pleasure and as soon as the last bite is gone the result is the same between an $8 burger and a $150 steak. I’d rather put that money toward other things that provide more tangible long term benefits.
