But if the parents have been together for a long time and are in a stable, healthy relationship it can work fine. A 31 year old getting their 19 year old partner who they’ve been with for a year to be financially reliant on them is likely not a safe or healthy situation, and that’s the same thing everyone on here would say regardless of whether the relationship was straight or gay.
