1. The shared sense of camaraderie makes for a friendly and protective environment, especially when people feel the need to hurt you because you're GASP one of the gaaaaaaaaaays!!

2. Honestly asking, if she didn’t want anymore children after the 3rd, why didn’t she just tie her tubes during her last delivery? My mom was exhausted after birthing her 7th child, so the doctor asked if she wanted to tie her tubes immediately afterward. She agreed, and it was done “while they were already down there”. My mom was only 30 at the time and comes from a very fertile blood line (11-13 children per generation), so if she hadn’t done that, I’d probably have 3-4 more siblings! Lol

   Anyway, outside of that opportunity, tying her tubes becomes a stand-alone separate surgery and comes with the same risks as a vasectomy procedure. Neither of you should be coerced into modifying your bodies against your will.

   I (44F) honestly don’t see anything wrong with your suggestion since you’re not pushing her to get her tubes tied, nor making your reconciliation contingent upon it. She’s the one trying to force you to do something you don’t want to. So it may be time to agree to disagree and call it quits for good.
