Whether he should’ve been calm or should’ve acted that’s a different case. I was raised in a whole other environment, where you only have a matter of seconds to find out whether to be vigil and ask questions or take a stance.
If you’re not a guy it’s a difficult concept to understand I know. People preach to be pacifists. But the world isn’t built like that. Some fights should be ignored and some fights shouldn’t. And it’s not very logical of people to expect drunk people in clubs to have rational thinking pattern or cohesiveness to act vigil.
If you think someone lost an argument just because they where in a fight or started a fight, then that’s some pacifistic dumb fallacy that the “peaceful west” presents. Life doesn’t work like that. Especially for men.
I would’ve advised that guy to just leave it at there. The other dude might’ve had a weapon on him or a bunch of people with him. A regular girl ain’t worth neither a “perfect” one.

Also it’s so funny how everyone, especially women expect to be this heroes that are ready to take any amount of punches and disrespect and to stay vigil through all that shit. Yes in some or most cases it’s asshole guys fighting for no reason. But labeling any fight as oh you’re an aggressor and you just lost your argument is dumb. You can downvote it as much as you like. That’s the world and if you’re expecting pacifism, well then go live in a pacifistic country. Oh wait is there none, because it’s not la la land.

OP, please understand that women don't always know how men are going to react to situations like this. We fear anger and violence. I really wish this wasn't the case, but it sadly is a consideration for women dealing with men. She was protecting herself
