1. Wtf OP you getting downvotes. People follow financial plans and that’s really good except when mental health is not prioritized. If you show him that giving you some free time to yourself is a whole lot less than canceling.

   Do you sit together and make a budget? Or does he do this ? I hope it’s not the latter. If it is , that’s where you start and insist that you sit down together on a regular basis and review. If he thinks he’s the only one to manage and make decisions then this is where he needs to be educated on what a partnership means. Good luck.

2. There are words and feelings. Hans tend to prioritize feelings over words.

   You offered words, your roommate offered rejections in words.

   But your roommate offered cuddles which triggered feelings.

   It's very hot to listen to someone saying “it'll be all right” whilst you arm is being broken.

   So you and your roommate telling him how things will be just seemed different than how things were playing out infront of him.

   I think your roommate needs to (for herself) be consistent in her intentions. Not just with DS, but everyone.
