It kind of annoys me when people say “sunk cost fallacy” because it's not a fallacy. Time is not something you can regain or get more of. That time is gone, it is literally a sunk cost, you spent a certain amount of time building a life with someone and then would have to start back at square one. It's the same as that $15000 will be a sunk cost, it's gone. Only difference is you can make more money. Now that being said, just because that time is gone it 100% does not mean waste more of it. Make an analysis of what the best way to spend the time you do have left is.
