Protecting herself… from a cheater? She was angry, overreacted and didn’t act in the best interest of her child.
She was petty and used the child to he punish him. He was not abusive, he would’ve been no threat to the kid.

That's what I was about to say. The only way to deal with this kind of people is by not having them in your life. And don't feel bad for it – even if she or her enablers try to guilt trip you.
That’s abuse. My husband did this in the beginning of our marriage because “it’s just the way I talk when I get angry,” and I put a stop to it immediately. When his voice raises even slightly, I call a time out. If he continues, I leave the room. If he follows, I leave the house, get in my car, turn off my phone, and drive away.
Mind you, this is simply a raised voice, with no name-calling or cussing. I grew up in an abusive household, and I will not tolerate it in my adulthood.
You cannot continue to do this and expect to keep her (or any partner). It’s understandable that you’re stressed and probably need help, but yelling at your wife is not the way.
I mean the first thing that comes to my mind would be to join the group. If you become friends with the guys yourself you prob won’t feel this way. Do you play similar games?
