Because by being silent and protecting their fragile egos these kinds of men think they're justified.
Also if this is a person I had considered a friend I'm going to give them the reason I'm walking away from their shit.
It's primarily women we tell to shut up and be small and walk away quietly. Which is annoying. But no matter the gender I think we have a real problem with this stuff. If we're not prepared to stand up and tell people there in the wrong nothing is ever going to change. You have a dumbass take you should know it. I want us to do better. By insulating these types of people from hearing they are idiots we are not helping the problem.
I'm not saying you should argue and indulge drama. But I think slinking away quietly just lets this stuff continue unchecked.
So as a person with a visceral fear of hospitals you went with him to one and stayed the night to be supportive? He just doesn’t “like” driving and couldn’t even be bothered to take you. What if you stayed in this relationship and one day had a child and he dismissed their needs like he dismissed yours? He seems like a sociopath because this level of selfishness is not normal… his response and reaction to you is NOT NORMAL!!!! Don’t let what you wish the relationship could be blind you to the reality of what it is. You deserve so much more than this.
I mean, a beard isn't an uncommon thing to have for gay people in extremely religious areas. As long as the partner is aware they are a beard, and is okay with it, then nothing seems wrong to me.
German parable…

Eleven Nazis.
You are who you associate with.
And I'm saying we don't have enough information to make that judgment.
I used to behave just like your husband. The simple practice of “pause, sit quietly, and let the mental storm pass” has allowed me to grow out of it.
