It is tradition. My older brother got the same treatment. Should the tradition morph? Maybe. As someone who was married and had a 10 year long relationships I want to say, why hurry? You are in an amazing time of your relationship. Everything is new and exciting and you know you want each other. I would want to enjoy that faze as long as possible because it is just amazing and care free.
