To me, a break is a “pause”, not a break up. So people should not be sleeping with others while having a break. If someone wants to sleep around, they should just break up.
Needing a break after months of being together isn't a good sign though. I probably would have just told her that you preferred to break up and would like to come by to get your things.
As for the Tinder thing, I don't think it matters much. You were going to break up. You could tell her that's one of your reasons, but ultimately you just aren't happy with her. It is what it is.
