Actually it took me 5 years to figure out it wasn't going to work with my ex. Sometimes things change or you realize they won't change (and some people take time to figure that out). I wouldn't be so quick to judge OP. We have no idea what's going on between them. Granted I agree about wasting time. I hate my time being wasted and I hate wasting other's time but in a relationship I see it more as a learning experience. And sometimes people change their mind based on how things are going and if their goals in life change. I do believe love is a choice as well as a feeling.
