Sorry to hear but please understand that you have to fight the fear of losing her to become a stronger person. What you say is something lots of young people go through and it is a situation in which no one can win , there is only something to lose. You have romantic feelings for her, she does not. The problem is you and your mindset. If you can not be together with er as a friend, then this relationship is not healthy for you even though you think so. Please take some “ME” time and work on your own ambitions, become a person who can be happy on his own. She is important to you but your romantic feelings are in the way. Please distance yourself from her, if you have to try to talk with her about it openly so she understands your situation. You can be openly sorry about it, but if you are a real friend as your text suggest, you have to let her move on with him and find your own happiness. If you are in a better place i am sure you can come back to her as a friend with your feelings detached from it.

Honey this is a s**t happens kinda thing.
It’s not your husbands fault, nor yours and we really can’t blame the little monsters because everything is a play thing to them. Kids didn’t get hurt.
You can start with not being mad at husband, and apologize for snapping at him, stop the frantic searching that’s just crazy making. You could deep clean the bedroom and maybe find them.
I hope you find them but if you never do it’s ok. You now have a story to tease your kids about when they get older.
If she can't accept that you simply can't afford to drop $2k on her wedding she isn't really a friend. A friend would understand.
