also replying to this as it is mom shaming and it's super easy to say “don't do something” until you are a new mother. Just talk with your pediatrician/doctor about how you and baby are sleeping (they usually ask) because i can promise you sleep with a baby beside you is way safer for you and baby than a sleep deprived mother who cannot care for their baby properly due to lack of sleep which can lead to things like PPD. Also the US is one of the only countries that does not endorse bed-sharing and there are great resources like the safe sleep 7 and other articles on how to do it safely for both mom and baby. My ped actually recommended bed sharing because my newborn wouldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time and since i was breastfeeding i HAD to get up every time feed her and i was losing my mind. Now she sleeps for 6-7 hours at a time and i've never looked back.
I'm sure you are well intentioned but i'm sure you too will also look at things differently if you plan on having a baby and maybe their sleep isn't how you hoped it would be
