I agree with you that there is no such thing as “accidentally” having sex but that’s what the default excuse is when alcohol is involved. If you don’t realize that inviting strangers to your home and alcohol is involved is an undesirable situation that could harm a relationship let alone your own safety, then idk what to tell you. Figure that’s a common sense thing most people have especially women.

It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if it makes your partner uncomfortable you should respect that alcohol involved or not. OP already made a point that the guy was already touchy feely which is a red flag in itself then apparently confides in his partner that he struggles with long term relationships… that’s literally sowing the seeds for emotional cheating which is what tends to lead to physical cheating.
Sounds like you got yourself a good dude, and for the most part you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and y’all’s dynamic works, so congrats on that. I was of the same mind because I know I would never cheat but not everyone has the same moral compass, my ex is a prime example lol. Yes at the end of the day you should trust your partner but it shouldn’t be done blindly either if said partner exhibits behaviors that can be deemed untrustworthy.
