In my opinion, you'd be better off letting it go and moving on.
You don't want to get legal action involved with your ex unless there is some serious abuse involved. You are not an AH for wanting them back, but what is more important for your future? The gifts of a person that you didn't fit with, or finding the right person and moving on with your life?
It sucks that this happened, but it will be ok. You deserve the right person, and she wasn't it. I hope you get through this as easily as possible.

Sorry, this is a little hard to believe. You did this for four months. That's longer than you were with him, and longer than the amount of time that had passed since you stopped doing it. It very much sounds as if you only regret it because he left you for it; you had no problem with your own actions before. Especially as you messaged him as her recently, then told him about it – it sounds like you just didn't realise what a horrible thing lying to someone for months in end is.
Accept that she’s a terrible person and block her so she can’t send you those messages. Is it possible for you to move to another area so you’re not bumping into her while you’re out? You can’t get over her when she’s always there in your face.
