Honestly, the best protection is to just remember that you have one too (?).
Speaking as a guy like a decade older than you, I’ve been through this like dozens of times. These women are just telling you about themselves, it’s a way of becoming closer. But dudes who have not much experience, or less than their partners, are almost invariably bothered by this pillow talk.
Once you have some experience yourself, you realize that your partner having a past in no way invalidates the specialness of her relationship with you… because your own past in no way invalidates the specialness of your relationship with her.
It also helps to remember that she’s talking about stuff from before you two were in a relationship. You weren’t a factor in her decisions. She was just living her life, trying to be happy, just like everyone else. If anything you could choose to be flattered she chooses to share these things with you.
On the other hand, if it bothers you, it bothers you. You can ask her not to talk about past partners and experiences, because you’d rather focus on the present and potentially the future.
