  1. You asking him if he was cool with you sleeping in the same bed as your male friend likely showed him that your values are not aligned.

  2. You clearly never dealt with the fact that your ex cheated on you. If you continue to project those insecurities onto any man you date, you’re going to single and bitter for a long time

  3. This is all great advice. I think this will be my approach. We've had some of the conversations about a lack of intimacy before and she basically needs the planets to align to be receptive. I am really at my limit with the lack of progress. I left out of the original post that she's dealing with some health issues that also contribute to the issue but that isn't enough to cause a total shutdown like I've put up with, and I have nothing to prove any infidelity.

As far as babysitting at their house, the kid is not neurotypical and has never been able to sleep away from home. We tried to make it work once before and it was a disaster.

  4. OK so he's overstepping boundaries on a sexual level since he finds out funny. Would it still be funny if he did it to a woman? Also sounds like he's the only one enjoying his “jokes” which still makes him am asshole

  5. Ohhhh I was so confused.. I thought you were saying she cheated on her abusive partner, then took him back and got married ??

Wait so.. what happened to the abusive partner?

  6. Friends think that it might be a bad idea to stay in this house

    Your friends are idiots.

SHE cheated. YOU don't budge. Throw all of her shit in boxes and have them shipped to her parent's house, with whatever evidence you have. Then tell them that your lawyer will contact them about settling the deed.

  7. She left you.

Then she slept with someone else.

Specifically, she left you specifically so she could go sleep with someone else, and claim that it wasn’t cheating. But the bottom line is that she left you so she could sleep with this other person. So, if you are going to be dabbling in technicalities, you two are not actually together, and it’s entirely up to you whether you want to take her back. Personally, I wouldn’t. I have no time for nor interest in game-players.

  8. I'm sorry but your partner is asking too much of you. I can tell you from experience that you are going to run yourself ragged. You will be exhausted — too exhausted to nurture your relationship, too exhausted to raise children.

Their family value of not hiring help is selfish and stupid! You WILL need help! This needs to be a condition of the deal — x number of hours per week, paid for by the brother. Not negotiable, and not for an occasional date night. Regular hours during work days and evenings and weekends.

Finally, your husband is a dick to ask this of you when the brother can afford paid help & independence.

  9. Ignoring the reason for it, you set a boundary an he's crossed it He then tried to play it off an lie

People downplay vaping all the time because it's such a new thing, but it's gross. It's supposedly worse than smoking since it will actually hurt you Faster while smoking can take 20 years (shitting numbers here)

But also sharing vapes is gross, it's in indirect “kiss” vapes are FULL of germs when people share them because they get passed around so much an if they were sharing with your boyfriend who “doesn't vape” then they are 100% sharing it with almost anyone else who asked ?

Point being though the vaping itself isn't necessarily the problem, it's the fact that your boyfriend tried to hide/lie an downplay it when he knew you were uncomfortable with it

An for such a simple thing to lie about I wonder what else is a lie

  10. OP, you really need to work on building your self esteem. Like someone mentioned above, your children will see this as a model for their future relationships. Is this how you want them to live! their lives? He has proven he won’t change. Do you want to waste the next 17 years on him too?

  11. Oooooof. Seems like they're, at the very least, having an emotional affair. Probably a physical one, as well. I mean… They're both adults, hanging out alone, in a private place, and lying to you about it. I'd drop them both if I were in your shoes.

  12. This went through my mind and is a large part of why I backed out of asking. I have been this guy before, and just stopped engaging for years with others as it has ruined friendships. This will most likely ruin this one as well. But in my defence I'm not as bad as the other guy you mentioned, but not by much.

  13. 100% this. He may need to them them about the baby though OP. They are proceeding with business plans and possibly firing people based on your husband’s commitment. He’ll need to walk that back ASAP

  14. You don’t need a “valid reason” to break up with someone. The entire point of a relationship is to be with someone who you’d be happier with than without. If this is no longer the case then you shouldn’t be in one.
